Bill Palmer

Bill Palmer is Co-Founder and Principal of IMA Corporate Interiors.  Bill graduated from Hobart College with a degree in Economics and worked briefly as an analyst for a public company.  In 1995 Bill began his career in the contract furniture industry where his economic and analytical expertise allowed a competitive edge.  After several successful years in the furniture industry, Bill leveraged his experience and partnered with Scott Carruthers in 2001 to form IMA Corporate Interiors as a dealership with a focus on a personalized methodology.  Under Bill and Scott’s guidance, IMA has steadily grown over the years into one of Atlanta’s premier contract office furniture dealers, as well as the largest Teknion Dealer in the Southeast.  Bill is also a founding and long standing member of Teknion’s Dealer Council.


Bill’s spare time is filled with family, coaching lacrosse, hunting, and fishing.  Bill resides in Sandy Springs, Georgia with his wife Kerry and their three sons.

Scott Carruthers

Scott Carruthers is Co-Founder and Principal of IMA Corporate Interiors.  Upon graduation from the University of Georgia in 1987, Scott began his career in the contract furniture industry working for his father’s rep group, Interior Merchandising Associates, Inc.  Scott’s primary focus was end user centric and he developed a relationship driven, consultative sales approach.  Late in 2001, Scott partnered with Bill Palmer and created IMA Corporate Interiors with the vision of changing the typical dealership model.  Under the leadership of Scott and Bill, IMA experienced swift growth and became a Teknion dealer in 2005 and subsequently, grew into a top ten Teknion dealership, as well as a leading Atlanta dealership.


An avid sports fan, Scott enjoys hockey and cycling.  Scott resides in South Forsyth County with his wife Martha and their children.
